Connecticut Medal of Technology: Governor Dannel P. Malloy will present the 2018 Connecticut Medal of Technology to Pratt & Whitney in recognition of their accomplishments in creating the groundbreaking technology of geared turbofan aircraft engines with unprecedented reductions in fuel consumption and noise, powering the next generation of civil transport airplanes. This led to creation of PurePower® turbofan engines chosen by many airlines for their aircraft fleets with great economic and environmental benefits. Read more.
