Professional Area

Infectious disease epidemiologist with a focus on the microbiome and antibiotic resistant pathogens of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts; conducts laboratory and clinical epidemiologic studies of pathobionts to identify determinants of asymptomatic colonization vs. symptomatic disease and risk factors for the emergence of antibiotic resistance


Nationally recognized researcher and educator with a focus on bacterial pathogens, the microbiome, and antibiotic resistance; Serves on the Executive Committee for the Antibiotic Resistance Leadership Group and leads efforts to stem antibiotic resistance and integrate principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the network.
